Mixed Week

Well honestly this week was a little strange. I have never had as much success as it comes to finding new people to teach and inviting people to be baptized as I had this week but in the end, no one came to church.... so it all kinda felt lame... but I know all this work we put in this work will pay off! We are going to work extra hard this week to get people to come to church this next week!

So how to begin the week... well it totally started out with bunch of financial stuff to do like getting money for all the zone leaders, paying some rents, and reembolsing a bunch of people! Pretty cool to do stuff i guess haha! In the field we seriously found so many people to teach! That is definitly a blessing we have here in Villa Belgrano! The hard thing is that these people are a little hard to find again... its like we find them and then they disappear! We are in a constant game of "Hide and Seek" and everyone knows its a lot easier to hide than it is to seek...

I realized I was in a dangerous area this week when we were teaching a few kids in the street. All of a sudden we heard some guy let off 5 gun shots repeatedly less than 2 streets away from us... I turn to the kids and they litterally acted like nothing happened. When we asked if that really was a gun or if it was something else they just played it off like it was nothing. Guns are normal here in the good ole barrio of Sol Naciente apperently hahaha! So  yah good times in this area!

So i was studing this week and I realized something. About a month ago, a member of the Seventy came and told us that if we teach the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and teach it right, our investigadors will beg to be baptized. So i was reading in Mosiah 26 and that is exactly what Alma does! He teaches people how to repent and to have faith in Jesus Christ and it was so powerful that all the people wanted to be baptized! The Atonement really is the most powerful thing in the world! I am so thankful for the Atonement and the opportunity it gives me to start fresh every day! There is no greater happiness that one can recieve than from the Atonement! I invite all of you to take advantage of the sacrifice the Jesus Christ did for us! Use the Atonement of Jesus Christ in your lives and you will all be happier!

I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week! Hope to hear from you all!

DOOOOOOOPE WEEEEEEEK

Well yes this week was super awesome!!! I really do like working in the office as of now! This week I actually started doing stuff financially which was kinda fun! I can tell its going to be a busy job in a few weeks when its only me doing it haha! But lets talk about why my week was dope!

So on Saturday we had a baptism!!! Tiziana who is 11 years old got baptized! She is so awesome and loved her baptisimal service! But what I didnt know I was going to get on top of this baptism was a front row seat to WWE Smackdown! Elder Clark, an elder that found Tiziana and her family, came back to baptized her and when he baptized her he threw her so hard into the water! It was quite aggressive I must say!  When he comes out of the font he asks me,

"Did I throw her down a little hard?"

hahahah I was dying! It was seriously the hardest I have ever seen someone dunked during their baptism! But the baptism was super great! Tiziana was super happy after the service! So yes my week ended super well!!!! We also found a bunch of new people to teach this week! Ana is one of them! She is so awesome! In just the first contact she started crying. The spirit was so strong! It was honestly one of the strongest moments that I've felt the spirit on my mission! I am super excited to start teaching her this next week!

So yup I really do love the office so far for a few reasons! One, I get to be around President a ton and 5 other super awesome missionaries everyday! Two, my area, VIlla Belgrano, is honestly one of the best areas in the mission! People here are so humble and love the missionaries! And Three, I get to know almost all the missionaries in the mission so I can have a lot more friends here :)

Congrats to the homie Hunter Peterson for getting called to Bogotá Colombia!!!! That is so dope! You are going to love the mission so much! It is honestly the best thing ever! There isn't something better that I could be doing with my time!

I love you all and want to invite you all to strengthen your testimony in Jesus Christ and his Atonement. There is nothing else that will keep steady in the path to our Heavenly Father! Hope to hear from you all soon!

First Week in the Office :) (8/22/17)

Well one week in the office and I have to say it wasn't too bad! I actually like it so far! So I am the Financial Secretary which basically means I deal with all the financial transactions in the mission! That included the money of the missionaries, fixes for the pensions, and a bunch of other stuff that I still don't know haha! But yah so far my job has been super easy and no stress but we will see if it stays like that!
My "Dad" in the office is Elder Saez. He is teaching me everything I need to know to be the Financial Secretary on my own in 5 more weeks. So office elders, like myself now, are working in the office every day from around 10 in the morning to around 6 at night. So we only get around 4 hours out in the area each night but let me tell you, those 4 hours are golden! We definitely get blessed for our service in the office! From just the days of Wednesday to Saturday (half the week) we taught more lessons and found more people to teach than I use to find in a whole week! My  area is called Villa Belgrano and it is the best!!!!! So many people love talking with us! I love it! Every night we have lessons to teach and find new people to start teaching! So yah the 4 hours we do get in the field and like normal missionary hours on steroids! We literally walk from Lesson to lesson and happen to find new people to teach on the way! Its so dope!
We currently are teaching quite a few families that hopefully will start progressing in the upcoming weeks! I will keep you informed on them! For now I am going to talk about the family of Tiziana! Tiziana is 12 and her sister Celeste was just baptized 2 weeks ago! She wants to be baptized this next week so pray for her! As well as her brothers Cristian and Fabio! They have 15 years and 8 years! They also are planning on getting baptized soon but they aren't as sure as Tiziana! So please keep them all in your prayers! They all came to church this sunday which was super dope!
So something I leaned here this week is that God has a plan for all of us. Sometimes his plan is not exactly what we want at the moment. For instance, I just wanted to be a normal missionary working in the field every day but now I have a little more responsibilities and am not able to work as much in the field as I would like. But when we do God's plan and not our own, he blesses us with success! And I know he is going to bless me with the success that I want which to baptize his children here in Villa Belgrano! I love this scirpture in Alma that talks about when we are feeling a little down,

"27; Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success."
The lord will always bless us with success if we just follow his plan! So do it! Follow the Lord's plan and watch how much happier you will be!

Transfers

Well like that another 6 weeks went by! This was seriously the fastest transfer I have ever had! I loved San Carlos a bunch! The area was super dope and Elder Gneck was probably my favorite comp yet! But yes you can probably all tell that I am leaving San Carlos after only 1 trasfer :(

But yup ive been called to serve in a little different role of missionary now, as the Financial Elder of the mission! I will now be working with all the finances for the mission. So basically I recieved a job when I wasnt even looking for one :) But i am excited to serve in the way! I will be close to Presidente Correa every day and will be able to learn from him which will be awesome! I will also be close to all the other office elders! So now in the office is Elder Rahm from Georgia, Elder Clark from California and it will be me and Elder Vaz from Brazil! I am excited!
I honestly dont know what im going to be doing for the next few months yet but im excited to  learn! Hopefully we still have time to get out in the field and teach some lessons! Ill try and send pictures this week but im not sure because today is a little hectic with new missionaries arriving and stuff here in the office!

Another Great Week! 8 months out!!!

Well this week was another great week here in Argentina! The area ia super dope and we have a bunch of success lessons wise! Its awesome! But like always its hard to get people to come to church....

So something happened this past week with Eugenia... her cousin showed her a video on youtube comparing the book of mormon with the bible and basically said how the book of mormon is false and now she has a bunch of doubts.... it was super lame becuse it just happened to be 2 days before the baptism of her daughter Agustina... But we are now working with her mom and trying to fix this problem that the cousin caused...

Also we had a baptism planned with Felipe, the 66 year old man we have been teaching! And saturday night he was thinking and now he also has doubts about baptism. One night before his baptism... so now we are also working with him to fix his doubts and help him start in this path this next sunday!

So this pday we went to Cosquin to hike a mountain called Pan de Azucar or Sugar Bread... hahaha not sure why its called that but it is! It was super fun! Its crazy how fast this trasfer flew by! Trasfers are already this next saturday.... super loco!

Well i love you all! Feel free to hit me up with and email haha talk to you all soon! :)

NEW AREA

Yes i love the new area and i love my new comp! Elder Gneck is super awesome!!! ITs super fun to have a new compe and to learn how each other teach amd work together to help other peple understand more about christ and his plan for us in this life! The new area is alittle dangerous from what ive heard from other missionaries and the members but i havent noticied anything yet haha! So far im still good! :)

I feel like we are basically starting out fresh in this new area! My comps last comp didnt work super hard and they didnt have any investigadors so we are searching for a bunch of news and people to help! Its a little hard to start like this but its pretty fun! So far we have found a few super sweet people but I dont know much about them yet so Ill keep you informed in the future!

So we have one investigador for you to keep in your prayers,  Ariel! Dont want to leak any info about him at the moment bc its still super new to teaching him dhahaha but yup! Love you all!

TRASFERS

Well yes it finally happened folks! After 6 wonderful months in Carlos Paz I am leaving my first area! My new area will be San Carlos (still got Carlos in the name so I guess my first son will be Carlos) San Carlos is in the captial of Cordoba so that will be fun! I honestly know nothing about the area yet so im super excited! My comp is Elder Gnech! Hes from Arizona as well and also has only 6 months in the mission! We were in the MTC together!!! So this is going to be super fun!!! I am super excited to work in a new area and with Elder Gnech!!!

Awesome experience from this week!!!  So i was sitting in a bus reading and i just had a bad feeling in my body. I felt guilty for something a long time ago and basically Satan was just trying to mess with my head. But I decided to pray and ask Heavenly Father to take away this pain I was feeling. I really wanted to feel the "peace" that I have told every person in Argentina comes from the Atonement of Jesus Christ! So I asked for exactly that. To feel that peace and immediatly I felt it! I could no longer feel the pain I was feeling just a few seconds before. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ took away my pain and I know they will do the same for you all! I know that the Atonement is for our sins and also for our pains and challenges in our life! If we just look unto Christ he will take away our pains!

I want to invite you all to read Alma 36 verses 12-21! I love this chapter so much and is something like I experienced and I know you can all experience the same!!!

I am super excited to work in a new area now and start basically from Scratch! Love you all!
